I’ve been in the Halloween spirit! And, after pouring up my favorite potions for Julep, I had to mix up one last libation to celebrate my most favorite holiday. Inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven, The drink is a riff on this lambic-based brew…But with my own dark twist: An ebony raven’s wing garnish (completely edible and made from a mint leaf!) Enjoy it on a “midnight dreary” to soothe all that’s “weak and weary”
Ingredients
• 1 ounce Creme de Cassis
• 8 to 10 ounces Raspberry Lambic Beer
• Raven’s wing mint garnish
Pour the Creme de Cassis over crushed ice. Fill the remainder of the glass with Raspberry lambic beer. Gently stir. To make the raven’s wing garnish, Spray a large mint leaf (or several leaves) with a black food-coloring spray like Wilton ColorMist. Drop in the drink and let the garnish float on the ice.
